Parents Day

The Church universally celebrates the Feast of Saints Joaquim and Anne on the 26 July each year. Joaquim and Anne are the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary we are told and so this day is also celebrated as Parents / Grandparents Day.

Ever since I was a child, my Grandma has always made it a point to get my sister and me to do something special for my parents on this day, whether it be baking a cake, making home made cards or making breakfast.

This year I set out to make a picture collage of all the grandchildren for my Grandma which Kevin very generously helped me put together. I choose pictures (from the hundreds we have) taken over the years and tried to pick those that had my grandparents in it - a reminder to us kiddos of how much my Grandparents love us and did for us.

Thank You Nani for all you did and continue to do for us all. We love you!

Not forgetting my parents we made them a streamer which said Happy Parents Day and a present that was to be used for a very special occasion!
