  • Party for 8

    0

We met over the Christmas week for lunch at Priyanka’s house. We sure did have a good time opening presents like we were 5 year olds and playing musical chairs! (Yup and before someone says it I also had the best snooze I had all week :P ) Aunty Marisa gave us a real spread for lunch.

    Seema and Ravi

I must mention the lovely Seema and her adorable son who kept us well entertained with his antics all afternoon :)

Headed home at around 5. There was the family mela in the parish in the evening for which I was in no mood to go for. So gave Bernard company at home.

Congratulations to you Mum and Dad on your Silver Wedding Anniversary. We know it hasn’t always been easy but you’ve done a pretty good job.

You’ve done so much for us over the years, made many sacrifices and today we’d like to thank you for all you’ve done for us.

For all the pretty homemade clothes

For all the late nights and help with lessons and projects

For letting people know that we are your girls and boys all rolled into one

For all the creative ideas and help with implementing them

    For supporting our career choices

For all the yummy food and for being guinea pigs to our culinary efforts

For forgiving us each time we let you down

For all the care and concern you’ve shown us more so when we were ill

For being there with us during our moments of happiness and for being our support and strength at times of sorrow and heartache

And above all for loving us unconditionally

We love you Mama and Dada and always will. We wish you all the best for the years to come. May God bless you with good health and happiness and may he look after your every need and desire.

    Congratulations once again.

  • Weekend Happy

I was looking foward to this weekend from the time AD let on that he would be in the city on those days for a promotion seminar of SCMHRD.

I left a bit early from work so that I could spend some time with him before heading for the Goan Association. This event is held by the ‘Goans’ from the Sacred Heart Parish, Andheri and is an event I like to go for simply because of the good music they play and the company I would not forfeit for anything.

This time  there was no mass, and my guess is that this was the reason for the late hour at which people trooped in. Anyway, we had to literally drag AD away from his ‘call center’ ( – yup he was answering a million calls from people who are supposedly wanting to apply to SCMHRD!) to get ready and by the time we reached Canossa it was a little past 8. But like I said we were among the few ‘early’ ones.

We met the usual folks, danced to a few numbers (they wern’t able to play too many) and then headed for dinner (which was a very hurried affair ….. I didn’t even get a chance to finish the kulfi I love so much!) after which AD had to go to a wedding reception to wish the couple.

I left for home the next morning with plans for a fishy dinner. A batchmate dropped us off at Parel where we settled down to a delicious meal of fish curry and tandoori fish at Amrut Punjab.

  • My day of fun

My aunt (who I havent seen in 13 years) was down from Canada for a fortnight, which meant that the entire Lobo family clan was in the same city with the exception of one. We decided to get together for lunch at my aunt Hilda’s house for an afternoon of immense fun and excellent food!

Here are some pics from the afternoon.

My sister and I spent a well deserved evening together! We did a spot of shopping and then settled down to some happy eating at Subway.
