Ganesh Chaturti

Chetna’s family brings Lord Ganesh home every year during the festival of Ganpati and this year I got invited for arti, vegetarian dinner and modaks! Michelle and I went over after work with Chetna to guide the way. Priyanka and Ryan came a bit later. I finally got to meet Lekhna and Chetna’s mum.

I’ve always loved the sloks they chant and was really pleased when I heard them singing it. Chetna’s mum sure gave us a spread for dinner. It was really yummy and what added to the charm was that we had to eat on banana leaves.

We chatted for some time after dinner and then I headed home as it was back to work the next day. Yaaawwn!
