It was someone’s birthday on the 23rd of May.
Looking back on the last 5 years the activities on that day when from a present given a month advance with a follow up phone call on that day, to a surprise birthday party with people coming in from all over the country, to dinner out with close friends to a long overdue piece of memorabilia to a hurried phone call.
While I am not affected by the rareness of the contact, the friendship that went down the drain is something I regret.
