Cough …. cough …splutter splutter!

From Monday the 21 of May my official work place is at Ghansoli - which is on the Thane - Belapur link road

So how do I travel to work everyday. I have to get to Dadar station and thereafter have 2 options - do the Dadar to Thane to Ghansoli route or the Dadar to Kurla to Vashi to Ghansoli route. The first was my very obvious choice. Now the trick to reach work on time is to make the connection at Thane station. Why u may ask? Because there is a train to Ghansoli once every 40 minutes. Miss the train you are supposed to take and you’ve had it!

So now my usual routine is 9:07 Thane Tithwala train which gets me to Thane station at exactly 9:36. It takes 6 minutes to get from platform 6 to platform 10, reason - the crowds! Then I take the 9:50 train to Ghansoli. Thereafter I need to take a shared rick or BEST/TMT Bus to the campus. By my journey doesn’t end there. Then there is the 6 minute walk or the golf buggy to take me to the wing where I work.

It isn’t the time I spend traveling that is irritating but the amount of dust that I inhale all along the way and it gets worse at Ghansoli as they are concreting the roads.

Hopefully there will be some sort of bus service soon.
